The Kregel Windmill Museum in Nebraska City, Nebraska, is a custom-built, interactive educational display detailing the fabrication of Eli Windmills. The Kregel Windmill Company operated in Nebraska City from 1879 until 1991. The museum has been configured to look like it would have appeared during the production Eli Windmills in the 1930s. Much of the working machinery in the museum dates back to the middle-to-late 1800s and is operated by one single belt that spans the entire length of the building. There are seven kiosk displays strategically located throughout the exhibit space that provide video, pictures and control spot lighting on specific equipment.
