The Archdiocese of Omaha’s archival collection contains over 85 cubic feet of material contained in 80 boxes and 24 oversized boxes organized into 13 subgroups. The earliest documents are dated prior to the establishment of the Vicariate Apostolic of the Nebraska Territory in 1857. Some of the earliest correspondence dates back to the 1830s. The collection encompasses manuscripts, photographs and some three-dimensional objects.
